LCPCS Governing Board Ownership Linkage Meetings

The LCPCS Governing Board holds its Ownership Linkage Meetings on the second Tuesday of every month, virtually unless otherwise stated. These meetings are designed to strengthen the connection between the Governing Board and the school’s key stakeholders—referred to in policy governance as the “owners” of the organization.

Meeting Time:
Second Tuesday of each month
Meeting links, agendas, and supporting documents are posted in advance on the LCPCS website, in accordance with open meeting laws.

Purpose and Focus of Ownership Linkage:

Ownership linkage is a key principle of the policy governance model used by LCPCS. It ensures that the Board remains accountable to the “owners” of the school—typically defined as the broader school community, including families, community members, and other stakeholders with a vested interest in LCPCS’s success.

Ownership Linkage Meetings are designed to:

  • Engage with stakeholders to gather insights, values, and perspectives

  • Build trust and transparency between the Board and the school community

  • Ensure that Board decisions reflect the priorities and expectations of the school’s “owners”

  • Promote active communication and mutual understanding

  • Provide an open space for public input and discussion

Through ownership linkage, the Board maintains a clear and representative connection to the school community, ensuring that strategic decisions align with shared values and long-term goals.
