Governing Board Member Application

 

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to Education: A strong desire to enhance the educational landscape of Laupāhoehoe Community Public Charter School.

  • Community Involvement: Experience or a keen interest in community service or local governance is advantageous.

  • Professional Skills: Skills in areas such as finance, law, education, or leadership will be beneficial.

Expectations:

  • Active Participation: Governing Board members are expected to devote between 10-15 hours per month attending regular meetings and engaging actively in discussions and decision-making.

  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the strategic planning and policy development for the school.

  • Advocacy and Support: Serve as an advocate for the school within the community and beyond!

 How to Apply:

  1. Access the Application Packet:

    •  You will find the paper application packet and the board member code of conduct by clicking on the link : Governing Board Paper App & Code of Conduct.

    • To complete the online application please use this link below.

    • Or you can pick up a paper packet at the school office. 

  2. Complete the Application Packet:

    • Ensure that all required fields in the application packet are filled out thoroughly. Incomplete applications may not be considered, so please review your submission carefully.

  3. Submit Your Application:

    • After completing the application packet you may turn in paper packets to the school office or you may email them to the [email protected].

    •  For online applications all you need to do is submit through the online form. 

    • Once your application is submitted you will be contacted to schedule a interview.
