Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS)

PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention System) is designed to support and celebrate positive interactions on campus while building relationships with school staff. Students earn point rewards when they exemplify our school's HA-values / BREATH (Belonging, Responsibility, Excellence, Aloha, Total Well Being, and Hawai'i). Students are celebrated weekly, based on their PBIS points, at Wa Piko. At the end of the semester, students have the opportunity to win prizes. The more points earned, the better the chances of winning and recognized by their peers. All of this is designed to develop positive behaviors on campus, strengthen the relationships, and experience a sense of sucess at school.
