What is a Strategic Plan?
A strategic plan is a design, or program of action to be followed that is developed in advance as the result of an organization going through the process of defining its strategy, or direction, and making decisions on allocating its resources to pursue that strategy.
LCPCS's Strategic Plan 2015-2020
LCPCS’s success will depend primarily on our ability to come together as a community and support our students together.A major step in that direction will be the creation of a Strategic Planthat recognizes that and takes all viewpoints into consideration. Withthat in mind, LCPCS is engaging in its Strategic Planning process withthe goal of completing a five year plan to begin January 1, 2015.
The process began with an Appreciative Inquiry Visioning Session this past summer and continued with a 2-Day Strategic Planning Workshop shortly after the start of this school year. More information about each of these events can be found on their respective pages (see below).
The first LCPCS Strategic Plan DRAFT 9-26-14 is now available for stakeholder review (CLICK HERE)
After review of the first draft of the LCPCS Strategic Plan 2015-2020, stakeholder feedback was incorporated and a SECOND DRAFT 11-9-14 is now available for review. All LCPCS stakeholders (students, parents/families, staff, faculty and community members) are welcome to provide input to Kahele via e-mail: [email protected] or by calling the school at 962-2200 x249. All feedback to the Plan DRAFT must be received by Friday, December 12th to be sure it is included in the DRAFT that will be presented to the Governing Board for approval at their December Board meeting on Tuesday, December 23rd.

LCPCS'sstrategic planning process began with an Appreciative Inquiry (AI)visioning session held on June 7, 2014. A small group of parents,alumni, students and staff started the conversation by helping usenvision what we want our school to be, based on the best of our past. Itwas a diverse group of participants with lots of ALOHA and a greatrepresentation of our beautiful, diverse community that is "Building aGreat Community School that lives Aloha" where "Every Student is Known& Valued".
The AI session agenda, notes, pictures and other information have been uploaded herefor for anyone interested in finding out more. 3 group presentationswere produced capturing the thoughts of participants which have been putup for display in the Multi-Purpose Room at school.
